Compressors
Two high efficiency scroll compressors are used to reduce operating costs and provide years of reliable operation. Sound attenuating compressor blankets and double-isolation mounting plates are used in every unit for quiet operation.
Controls
A sophisticated control board monitors and controls the heat pump operation, and the user interface can be used to aid in diagnostics and unit setup. Other features are high/low pressure protection, freeze detection, and loss of charge detection.
Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers
Brazed plate heat exchangers provide increased efficiency, performance, and reliability. They’re also much smaller than traditional coaxial heat exchangers, so they allow Affinity™ YAWT units to provide high capacity performance in a compact unit.
IntelliStart
An optional soft starter is available to reduce start-up amperage by up to 70%. This valuable accessory can help eliminate light flicker and power surges on your sensitive electronics as well as prolong the lifespan of the compressors.
Cabinet
The Affinity™ YAWT unit cabinet is fabricated from heavy gauge steel with a durable finish for long-lasting beauty and protection. Control panels can be placed on either end, allowing piping to be located at the front or the back of the unit to improve serviceability. Large lift-out panels provide access from all four sides.
